Tyler Lemza
Clinical Director / Doctor of Physical Therapy

​​Tyler graduated from Stony Brook University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in 2021. Prior to pursuing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, Tyler attended Ithaca College where he completed his degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Sports Psychology.

 

Originally from New York, Tyler has experience providing physical therapy in both New York and Rhode Island and has experience treating a wide variety of orthopedic conditions, post-operative patients, sport's injuries, and neurological conditions. Since graduating, Tyler has become dry needling 1 certified and is eager to continue taking continuing education courses involving specific orthopedic conditions, sports performance, and manual therapy.

As a former collegiate athlete and former physical therapy patient, Tyler grew to love the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation. He is a firm believer in the one on one treatment model and individualized treatments for all patient's to ensure patients are able to return to activities they love to do. Tyler believes in understanding a patient as a whole in order to understand all factors contributing to their condition and to also provide well-rounded care. Tyler implements evidence-based interventions with all his patient's to maximize their recovery.

Hillary Gallagher 

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Hillary earned a Bachelor's degree in Health Science in 2021 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2023 at Springfield College. Throughout her undergraduate career, she was also a member of the swim team. Multiple injuries throughout her swimming career led to her interest in physical therapy. She hopes to inspire patients and help them achieve their goals in the same way that she experienced. Hillary believes in the power of individualized care and the importance of a holistic approach to treatment in order help her patients achieve the best outcomes.

 

As a born and raised Rhode Islander, she is so excited to return to South County and work with the Tier One team! Outside the clinic, you can usually find her at the beach, reading a good book, or enjoying local restaurants with friends.

Sebastian Valdes
Doctor of Physical Therapy

Sebastian graduated from URI with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2024. Prior to attending URI, Sebastian graduated from Regis College in 2021 where he earned a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Sport Management. While attending Regis College, Sebastian was a member of their men's volleyball team in which he also served on the executive board for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. 

 

Due to being so involved with student-athletes on campus while also competing, Sebastian learned the importance of injury prevention and rehabilitation with many close to him. Through his own time in the athletic training room, Sebastian learned the importance of providing individualistic care and building a connection with each patient. Sebastian believes in treating and understanding each patient as a whole in order to provide optimal care to help patients achieve their own goals and return to participating in what they love to do. 

Marissa Tafuri
Physical Therapy Assistent

Marissa earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication in 2004 from the University of Rhode Island and her Associates degree as a Physical Therapy assistant in 2016 at Community College of Rhode Island. Marissa was a Personal Trainer in East Greenwich, RI and this led to her interest in physical therapy. She hopes to inspire patients and help them achieve their goals to maintain an active healthy lifestyle. Marissa believes in putting her health and the health of her patients first and firmly believes if your health is not in order, you cannot be present for anyone or anything else in your life.

As a local Rhode Islander Marissa grew up spending her summers in Narraganset and has a love for this town and community.  Outside of the clinic, you can find Marissa at the beach, gym or playing pickleball.

Siobhan Meece
Practice Manager

Born & raised in California, Siobhan moved with her family to Rhode Island during the summer of 1995.  Since then, she has been a resident of South County.  She chose to raise her two sons in Charlestown &  studied Social Services at CCRI.  She enjoys traveling & writing.  She published her first novel in 2016. 

 

Siobhan has a passion for assisting people & has over 20 years of experience in healthcare, specializing in advocating for those who suffer from degenerative diseases.  Prior to TierOne, Siobhan held an office position at an assisted living facility located in Westerly, RI, for 15 years.  While in the above position, she was presented with the "Excellence in Caregiving" award from the Alzheimer's Association.   It was also there, during the start of COVID-19, that she became more interested in physical therapy after her experience assisting the residents with their PT needs, under the supervision of physical therapists.  So, when the opportunity to become a member of the TierOne team was extended, Siobhan accepted the position with excitement.  She looks forward to getting to know each client, while providing a positive & stress-free experience that is personalized to individual needs.
